Without getting too off topic, I hate that this attitude is attached to hip hop
There's a lane for older performers to keep doing what they love in every other genre of music, nobody trying to push them out the door
Ppl complain about black music being "soulless" and directed at cacs in 2023, but want artists to treat hip hop as nothing but a hustle and have an exit strategy to shift completely into some other gig- make it make sense
