Do these dudes sell drugs? If not, putting Trap in front of their every activity seems odd.

It is inevitable that we create our own spaces I just wish our music and culture wasn't so intimately tied with drug dealing and gang banging.

Hip Hop had dozens of "flavors" before Gansta Rap basically squeezed the rest out. Trap music is another facet of Gansta Rap

Brunch in Chicago around Black folks don’t have no silly ass trap brunch name. It’s called just pulling up at Batters and Berries, Chicago Home of Chicken and Waffles just to name a few.

Brunch/day parties are the new weekends every where now, yoga is still an obscure thing, and the one you posted isn’t even being marketed to the type of people who normally do Yoga anyway. I’m actually familiar with SKSL, they do good work in the community for the kids, nothing bad to say about them at all. They into the community garden thing in the hood up there, teaching kids how to plant and grow shyt. But you trying to compare something that is made for adult Black folks to turn up to a Black woman with an org who really just trying to attract kids off the street to do anything besides gang banging, and that’s the best way to do it- show them something different and talk to them in ways they understand. The Brunch demo in Dallas in not the same as that. I’ll say it again, that’s a corny lame ass name for what is supposed to be some “grown and sexy” shyt.

If I was in charge of teaching Hip Hop to children the Gangsta Rap section would be less than 10% of the curriculum although it accounts for maybe 90% of the mainstream Hip Hop music.

The history of humans is countless forgotten people who lived and died unceremoniously. What we call "history" is the story of the few people who did something noteworthy.

Same with Hip Hop. Just cause most MCs are D students, doesn't mean we focus on them. We should focus on the best of us. The few who did something GOOD
