Dame was complaining about Lyor back in '99. Thing is, he was the only one real enough to do it. Lyor was making way too much money off Roc during a period when the label was bringing in a lot of their own resources and talent, but Lyor was pocketing a crazy share of the profit. Dame was the only one who was vocal about how execs who weren't from the community seemed to always get rich off the back of the people doing the actual work.
There was an incident up at Def Jam back in 2000, when Dame was screaming on Lyor and Kev in a meeting, and they called the cops on him, lol. Lyor has always been one of the biggest crooks in the music industry. Dude is one of the first people to champion the 360 and proudly say he has no problem taking the majority of the money from an artist if he's made them famous. No one else would speak up, but Dame always did.
Probably not, he is probably a depressed guy still living in the past.
Dame was mad and had difficulties accepting that he sold his share directly after he founded the label and Russell’s workers controlled 3x more or the Roc than he did.
He was always screaming at them “this is a my shyt, roc a a fella” but Def Jam owned 50 of it, he 16.6%.
True conman that has a problem with authority and accepting L’s. He was running around like a child screaming at people like he owned 100%, and they let him for the sole reason of them loving Jay.

Anyone who has heard a single dame interview understands how much he hates people who are workers who don’t put up their own bread like all the label execs. Then add that the workers had more power than him over his own shyt. Then add that Lyor doesn’t fukk around and will tell you to your face, you little bytch boy you shouldn’t have sold your shyt to us

Folks actually on here projecting Dame was more shady, cut-throat, or conniving than that Jew,Lyor "Liar" Cohen?

Did it THEIR WAY in a cac controlled industry (with flash) and he didn't bite his tongue. Dame may not have been perfect, but his heart always been in the RIGHT PLACE when it comes to our culture.

If Dame moved on and focused on other shyt other than Jay Z he would be super successful off the strength on how much people hate Jay z. But dame so fukking unbearable he got people who hate Jay feeling no sympathy for him.
