That's not his point though, envy is a regular ass employee who answers to cacs who run "black culture"

They bleeped out how much they make but I would bet Envy is making atleast 300k a year. Plus he DJs on the side.

That puts him in the top 1% of earners in the US. So you have to ask yourself if that's a regular ass employee, what does that make you?

people get lost on the hype and don't listen to the actual message, the man is talking about black people working together and being independent but they would rather ask questions we heard a million times :snoop: "but but but dame what about your tax problems "
Its a fukking morning radio show, he knows what they do, if he wanted to talk serious he should have used a serious platform

Funny how youre quiet about Dame contradicting himself and disrespecting not only TBC, but Murda Mook and "his" OG though.

Making 100k+ an year and owning nothing <<<<< actually owning an business and not answering to anyone

That's Dame's point, not that hard to see. Worst of all, it's a cac that's cutting all these checks for these nikkas who are more then happy to do the song and tap dance as long as the money is right

I'm not going to argue what is smart or what is not, but Dame was right about one point, if you're not the one putting up the money then you aren't the boss. You're just the supervisor. But you don't actually run the shyt. Whoever gave you the money might let you do whatever because they have trust in your skill or expertise or whatever, but if you wanna do some shyt they don't like, they're not going to let you. But if they wanna do some shyt YOU don't like, you're not going to be able to do shyt about it. Everything IS simple, but people try to make it more complex. :yeshrug:

I'm not saying an employer is better than an employee or vice versa, I'm just defining who is a boss and who isn't, and I feel like you should want to be a boss. Not saying that defines you as a man, but it probably does define you on that alpha/beta scale everybody on here likes so much.
You make a great point, but I think what most people don't want to admit is that, Yes they want to be in charge, but mostly at a managerial level, not a boss/head of the company level. And it has more to do with not wanting the responsibility of other people's livelihood hinging on whether you make a good decision or not. As a manager, you mess up, you can blame somebody else or take the fall yourself, but as a boss, you fukk up and the business closes; EVERYBODY is looking for new jobs. As a boss you might be able to cash out before hand, but the employees are fukked.

That was not Dame's point. He made it seem like everyone who is not a boss is a loser. There's a difference between saying aim higher and that you are embarrassing to your son because you hundreds of thousands a year off of being on radio 4 hours a day 5 days a week while bringing in more money from DJing. He slides to that "us" shyt when people start going at him and to divert from the fact that he has nothing to offer and is struggling financially. He's trying to hustle his way back out, but people do not fukk with him anymore to want to build with him. Kanye dropped off that sympathy bag and has not so much as retweeted that shyt. Then he tried to guilt Spike Lee into working with him because he knows it would add credibility to what he's doing. While dissing radio he was trying to win public opinion AND network through radio. But he left most thinking he is an out of touch a$$hole who cannot come to grips with the fact that he blew a net worth of 100 million by "putting it in the street."

if a man can sleep at night then what's the problem

Not everyone wants to be the " star of the show"

Do you work? I'm sure you do...

Dumb logic. All things being equal and the goal is to make money then you take the choice that maximizes your earnings. This is not rocket science.

Company A pays you 400,000 to sell widgets>>>owning a company that makes nets 200,000 selling widgets.

this isn't true.
someone can invest in the company and not have the most equity.
and even if they do have more equity…they can still be a silent partner.

FB was made off of others people money

I study this shyt, and live it.
Both me and my girl are independent.
We do all the shyt Dame brags about on here…but I have common sense with it.

His problem is that he's so dogmatic with what he's talking about.
Yes…part of the reason me and my girl can't work for other people is because both of our fathers owned their own businesses….but going by yourself isn't for everyone.

There are a million different hustles out there…he's acting like his way is the only way.
What I said was ABSOLUTELY true though. YOU DON'T RUN THE shyt IF IT'S NOT YOUR MONEY, it's that simple. If you're borrowing money from somebody or using someone else's money, then at the end of the day they own your shyt. They might not boss you around, they might not even give a fukk what you do, but when it comes to the basic, they own your shyt. What you're saying is the equivalent of someone living in their parents' guesthouse, they have the whole guesthouse to themselves, but their parents actually own it or pay the mortgage or rent or whatever, but you feel like you're the boss of that guesthouse simply because your parents don't tell you what to do.

Anything that somebody can LEGALLY take from you under a reasonable circumstance (obviously there's things like the government being able to take your shyt, or somebody can rob you, etc., but I think you know what I'm getting at with my statement)... you don't own, breh.

Maybe it's just a difference of perspective because when I say "boss" I usually mean "owner" and when others say "boss" they tend to mean "supervisor".

Edit: Let me make it clear though, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with using other people's money or being an employee or anything like that, or that it makes you less of a man or anything like Dame said.

dame is definitely spitting knowledge. but some stuff i cant rock with. everyone cant be a boss. a business cant be successful without people working under you. you clowing those 9-5 folks but some people work purely for benefits. you wanna hustle money but when u gotta go to the doctor, you look stupid when that bill comes in. If i have a son, im not gonna just give him the company. he needs to go to school. learn business sense. you want your children to have pride. to actually earn something and work for it. Not get handouts because of who your dad is.

That man said he sold half of roc(and eventually all of it) to Def Jam and was equal partners but then 2 sec later clowned Dej Jam for getting bought by Universal claiming they weren't bosses. Dude is a type one a$$hole. Worst then Diddy. Why is he even on there? It seemed like he has no intentions of promoting his artist(who I'm sure they were thrilled with all the worker/boss talk sitting right next to him) or his interest. He just wanted to pick a fight.
