Dame is incredibly disrespectful. But smart nikkas know that Dame ethered himself this entire interview because he is so fukking hypocritical.

Regardless, this is entertainment, and watching Dame pop off on Envy is hella entertaining. But, from a logical perspective, Dame is a hypocrite.

i was gonna post why didnt envy call him out on it? But we dont really know whats in dame's pockets. you cant go by what the media reports.

Dame would have just asked how Envy knows how much money he has and went on a tirade about how men don't pay attention other men's pockets, etc. This is how Dame "wins" arguments. He's just relentless in arguing a point and people just don't have the energy to go back and forth so they just let him talk. I remember an old article where Cam was saying the same thing about Dame. He told a story about how Dame had bought an earring for like 200k and Cam was telling him it was crazy to spend that much. He said they just went back and forth and Dame just went on about how Cam doesn't know about diamonds and the one bought was only found in 1 specific cave in Africa or some shyt. Cam said he just gave up like "alright man, cool. Thats what the jeweler told you" lol.

As a health care professional in training, I can't help but think that if I were to assume the mindset that Dame had, it would fukking very easy to Dame's life and end that shyt. I thought interview was great...people with bosses is gon be mad as shyt though hearing this interview,and Dame should realize he might be pissing off the people he's trying to sell shyt to by being horrible at selling himself and his product....Ive had a boss for most of my life and my little side hussles,but ive never took money ive had to invest in not being an employee....I don't have a issue with Dames mentality because as much as people talk shyt about him,so far he's never had a job....so his ideology of "putting the money back in the streets" is working for him,it will work until his ideas stop working...He admitted his ideology comes from self belief a lot of us just don't have...but he can defend his stance passionately,can people who are employees passionately defend why they are employees?

Only thing that aint cool is the fact he didn't really let them defend they ideology on why they would rather have a boss than be a boss....But honestly can most of us who have bosses really defend how great being an employee is vs being a boss?....You might love what you do,but you either don't have the skills,know how,work ethic,self belief to do the things you really want to do....I like the fact Dame will get some people thinking about a different mindset to have actually....Some will just be salty and offended,some will let it marinate and use it as motivation,and some of us know ourselves and know we aint built to be full time bosses

This is inexorably the best answer to this question. No amount of money can be greater than being an honorable father, irrespective of how one may define honor. I have a full time job and a legit side business (invoiced about 30K last year)

nikkas are too caught up in titles. "Im a BAWSE!" Id rather be a "worker" like Jamie Dimon (CEO of JPMorgan Chase) than my own boss, selling halal chicken and rice outside of his office.

Only things that matter are, do you enjoy the work you do, are you GOOD at the work you do, do you have a good work/life balance and are you making the money you need to live comfortably and save for the future. People get laid off, most businesses fail... "being your own boss" doesnt guarantee you anything but the false satisfaction of a meaningless title. Lot of nikkas wanna be "bosses" cause they have no skills and are shytty at their jobs. My pops had his own businesses and I do too. Its all the same shyt. Even Dame worked for Def Jam, pretty much. That is not why people are looking at him crazy. His approach is terrible, and he's not effectively communicating. You guys are parsing his language to be something motivational because he gives great quotes about the end game while talking complete and utter nonsense about the process to get there. None of those people arguing with him said being a boss is not a great goal. They looked at him crazy for calling people like you more or less worthless for not being one and for knocking those who want to work their way up to being a boss. When Yee presented Kanye interning to learn a craft he switched to "he can do that because his family is already secure so I'm okay with that." That does not answer the question about whether or not learning a craft, and then branching off is invalid. That does not answer the ridiculous question about whether you have to put your own money up to be a boss. A large percentage of rich people prefer to spend other people's money. Is Jay Z not a boss because he used Live Nation's money to form Roc Nation? Is he not a boss because they brought in the CAA to help them do contracts and then split once they learned how as opposed to doing the Master P thing?
