I cant take your post seriously because you're gossiping, talking about ugly, and people's girls and shyt. At the end of the day we know who is more likely to be real or not, stern has a proven track record, but also has been doing it longer. Stern may be considered a shock jock, but can anyone say envy has a backbone? Has he ever stated any controversial views or has he ever had to defend his points against a wide majority of others or does he just play it safe? Clock in and clock out safely?

I don't want to go here but he kind of seems to me like a "listen yall, if we do our jobs massa won't have to whip us and our jobs ain't that hard anyway so it's mutually good that we just do'em so there ain't no problem" type of dude.

Yeah you right, I may have subtracted from the legitimacy of my post by bein a LSA nikka but that was for comic relief. lol.

Either way, its more of a exitensical question rather than one of absolute fact as to whom youd rather be in life. I agree, Howard Stern has crossed more boundaries, and pushed more buttons, yet still manages to succeed. If you admire that, alone, then so be it. however, ive followed Howard's career and nothing about him as an individual is admirable to me, but thats just my opinion. I dont care or give a fukk how much money he has. I legit mean this when I say that I would rather be comfortable with myself, independent and handling my business than live the miserable, rich as fukk, life that Howard Stern has but again thats just me. I speak for n = 1.

In that same vein, to me, if I were to compare careers, I think on the grand scale Howard is more successful than Envy, yet still, Id rather have Envy's career, given that Envy appears far more happy and content than Howard.

Envy, is still, an I repeat STILL, a fukknikka.

But understand my standards of excellence are nobel laureates and large scale philanthropists so take everything i say with a huge ass grain of salt.

I don't agree with Dame on that. You can be proud to have a boss. But you can't be proud working like 30 fukking positions under someone and find comfort there. If you have a boss you can see, yall talk. Cool, good..if yalls relationship is tight, he should be teaching you everything you need to know to get out on your own and get it too. Granted that may not happen in 5 years, some of these block heads here have the mentality about the job being good and just punching in and punching out as long as you can get it, because they have that thought process they have re framed it as a desire to never wanting to be more.

I know people with successful small businesses, one bakes and sells cookies. Thats what she loves to do, taxes, hiring, all the other shyt its for the birds, she bakes, she serves, she has other people (mostly family ) do the other shyt. Her shyt works. Where there is a will, there's a way. She worked in bakeries for others, baked in grocery stores, but said fukk it i want to do it ON MY TERMS.

Believe it or not humans take pride in different things. A niqqa can be bus driver his whole life but finds pride in providing for his family and being a good father and raising his kids right.

Who am I or anyone else to tell a niqqa like that what he can be proud of? Or that his kids don't respect him

The essence in what Dame was saying was right. When it comes to business there is obviously pride in ownership. But he genuinely thinks he's a better man than somebody for owning his weak ass companies. I don't agree with that, personally.

nikkas are too caught up in titles. "Im a BAWSE!" Id rather be a "worker" like Jamie Dimon (CEO of JPMorgan Chase) than my own boss, selling halal chicken and rice outside of his office.

Only things that matter are, do you enjoy the work you do, are you GOOD at the work you do, do you have a good work/life balance and are you making the money you need to live comfortably and save for the future. People get laid off, most businesses fail... "being your own boss" doesnt guarantee you anything but the false satisfaction of a meaningless title. Lot of nikkas wanna be "bosses" cause they have no skills and are shytty at their jobs. My pops had his own businesses and I do too. Its all the same shyt. Even Dame worked for Def Jam, pretty much. Hes just talking in riddles. Being passionate dont make u right.

No doubt,at the end of the day most people have a price they would take to be somebodys employee....But is it safe to say in Dames case no matter the price he COULDNT play the employee role?I don't know if he was supposed to be defjams employee but its safe to say he sure didn't act like it from the footage weve seen...I believe Dame may be one of the few people that would prefer being in charge over making the most money possible.

I agree Dame has a lack of empathy for the fact other folks value certain things over money as much as he values being in charge....And at the end of the day you are still a boss homie,congratulations by the way...Something about you and your pops made you realize you didn't want to be reliant on somebody else for work,so on some level you must think like Dame.

That is not why people are looking at him crazy. His approach is terrible, and he's not effectively communicating. You guys are parsing his language to be something motivational because he gives great quotes about the end game while talking complete and utter nonsense about the process to get there. None of those people arguing with him said being a boss is not a great goal. They looked at him crazy for calling people like you more or less worthless for not being one and for knocking those who want to work their way up to being a boss. When Yee presented Kanye interning to learn a craft he switched to "he can do that because his family is already secure so I'm okay with that." That does not answer the question about whether or not learning a craft, and then branching off is invalid. That does not answer the ridiculous question about whether you have to put your own money up to be a boss. A large percentage of rich people prefer to spend other people's money. Is Jay Z not a boss because he used Live Nation's money to form Roc Nation? Is he not a boss because they brought in the CAA to help them do contracts and then split once they learned how as opposed to doing the Master P thing?

I agree he lacks empathy,as much as he said he likes to put himself in other peoples positions,its only when he wants to....I felt like he made concessions just by saying it was just his opinion and perception though,even though his delivery wasn't quite as humble...Depending on what kindve business they are in some people can take this as motivation because its what they need....Some people in here are telling people to never use their own money,or that you have to work first in order to start your own business....the fact is that's not neccesarily true either and NOT what some people need to hear....Dame is absolutely the right messenger for some people
