I appreciate the platform, however he has got the clout to do it. Just because he owns his own shyt doesnt mean he cant hire everyone else to run the shyt while he comes in does his show and goes the fukk home. If he wanted to he could take his platform to the internet, and do the shows from his living room with video camera, mics and famous guests and stream it there. He could do lots, but he and other people are putting these false limits like all he can do is be on the show.

So he has to buy the rights to broadcast, rent out the space, hire people etc. etc. How much more money do u think he will be making?

You can but those lessons are harder to learn. Its different from telling your son "Ok now when you go to mcdonalds, dont take money from the register." and having your own store and having a hands on lesson about it. Its hard for me to describe because my pops still owns his own business, so I got to learn the good way--from the heart, from blood. while other nikkas, corporate america, white people and their ethics company propaganda taught yall how to be responsible and integriry

So in other words, u think the only way a parent can teach their kids responsibility/integrity is by having their own business

Because it takes that kind of humility to learn from mistakes and successfully interact with people. High key Dame won the lottery when he found Jay. The fact that hes losing his mind and always broke from a string of failed businesses does not indicate some level of success on his part IMO.

Dame comes off as a whiney kid sometimes but I agree with most of what he was saying.
It's a tough question: Would you rather live a moderate life and have someone ultimately calling the shots for you, or would you rather be your own boss and struggle?

The problem with this is, he's not a "boss" because he wanted to be.

He's acting like he had a choice in going off and doing his own shyt. Jay kicked him to the curb. That's like saying you're a boss while you're unemployed, because you don't have a boss.

No doubt,at the end of the day most people have a price they would take to be somebodys employee....But is it safe to say in Dames case no matter the price he COULDNT play the employee role?I don't know if he was supposed to be defjams employee but its safe to say he sure didn't act like it from the footage weve seen...I believe Dame may be one of the few people that would prefer being in charge over making the most money possible.

I agree Dame has a lack of empathy for the fact other folks value certain things over money as much as he values being in charge....And at the end of the day you are still a boss homie,congratulations by the way...Something about you and your pops made you realize you didn't want to be reliant on somebody else for work,so on some level you must think like Dame.

Naw I dont think like Dame. Dame wants to be a boss because he has an inferiority complex and he has to shyt on people to feel better about myself. You got CTG who can be annoying, but dude is sharp enough to understand the message.

And you got DJ Envy who was so resistant at the idea of being a boss. Its like Obama telling Envy he can be the President of the United States, but you resent him for putting such high expectations on you. This is what I get from Envy or anyone who feels offended by Dame Dash's message.

He said anyone he grinds with gets a piece of the newly formed company/venture.

Every artists on Roc-A-Fella had their own thing, from Dip Set, State Property, to Kanye. Just Blaze is the only one who stayed a worker during their whole run.
