But that's not the messenger's problem, but the listener who applies superficial or stereotypical tags to deem something or someone as creditable source, flawed, washed up, or bitter
One moment it's the "clothes don't make the man," but later it is "bu bu his gear is washed up"
Choosing the dismissive route towards a messenger is the safest and default route if you don't like/care for the message, messenger, or subject matter
Lord Jamal vs Marlon Wayne twitter exchange was a clear indication of how the perception of success distorts the message, despite countless reminders in life and media of how wrong it is to judge a book by it's cover
That only goes so far. Dame talks about culture vultures, but then in the past bragged about not caring about the culture at all. Dame claims he never liked the likes of Lyor Cohen etc, but he continually broke bread with him, and when Dame was relevant and really had the chance and platform to speak out, he didn't. You say don't judge a book by its cover or kill the messenger, I say don't wait till you are down and out and have burned all your bridges to become a "messenger". If you were really bout that life you would have been just as vocal and on every platform that would have you when you were on top of the world.

And much of dude's "message" is BS anyway. Much of it is just lashing out at people who got tired of working with him.

Dame's stock is sinking, CJ's stock is rising. I still wish @CombatJack would stop interrupting people in interviews (thankfully he knew to fall bacc in the presence of the GAWD Chuck D), but overall, he and his whole operation are way more beneficial to the culture than Dame's rants.

i thought you get paid once the album sales? maybe thats what dame is saying, it needs to be out for abit to build some change

maybe someone knows what im saying and can say it in detail

the album was never sequenced and Mastered... just because you had 13 songs recorded, doesnt mean all 13 make the album, etc. Damn is right in saying he doesnt have the masters but he does have the vocals...and knowing Old dirty some of those vocals are probably already used and its a copyright issue with his publishing versus an issue with Dame

But if he has proven points via his time in the biz, then how could you dismiss him?
How do you measure growth in a person by focusing on a period in their life and reminding them about it every time they attempt to move forward?

Very trivial and simple observation...
Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan: "bu bu he killed Malcom X"
Bugatti Beibs: "bu bu that was a long time ago"
It's not far fetched for both quotes to be from the same person
