^ " do you agree that this ended up as a win for Joey IE and a loss for your show?"

How? What did I lose? Credibility? I guess it's in one's perspective. And I give nfs about how it seemed like I was "trying to stay "safe". I got a show to run and an interview opportunity appeared. Would it make more sense to interview Joie 9 months from now? Maybe to you, but not from where I'm looking at it. And if this interview disappointed you after all of my 200+ ones, then hey, I hear you. I'm glad you rode with the show this long. My bad, and thanks for the support. No defensiveness here, but I gotta keep how I feel 100 with you.

Fair enough.

I'm not saying you should have come at Joey IE's neck on Dame's behalf. But given the context of how Dame described these execs profiting off beef, playing dumb and never answering questions...when Joey comes on your show and plays dumb without answering questions or even offering any relevant opinions on ANYTHING music culture the business etc. It lends credence to Dame's accusations and made the show appear like it got taken advantage of for purely PR purposes i.e. (:jawalrus:) IE gets to clear his name and look like a good guy without answering any of the hard stuff.

But like you said thats just one show out of many and I'm just one listener. Salute :salute:

@CombatJack I would love to hear you interview radio legends like Red Alert or even Flex. The stories between the two would be golden.

I've been told Flex doesn't really do interviews. I can't recall the last time he did one. Trust me, I've tried. But with where I'm standing with Hot 97 these days, that might could not ever happen. Or at least for a while.

Red Alert soon come.

I don't think Joie walked off looking like a "good guy". I think he looked like an exec that didn't answer the questions. The same way Dame didn't answer the questions relating to him not paying his employees. I assume my listeners are smart enough to determine how someone is by how they answer/or don't answer questions. And yessir, #Salute.

PC Jack signing off.

No doubt. Like you, I've grown up on radio (specifically NY radio). From the Red Alerts, Magics, Marleys, Stretch and Bobbitos, Flex. Even Howard Stern in his heyday. It's definitely a shame what NY radio as a whole has become.

It's amazing to see people side with Dame to the end. Shouldn't be hard to see he is on the verge of a breakdown, he will be going to jail sooner than later, and he seems obsessed with taking everyone down with him.

Worse yet he is actually succeeding with this black v white/Jew bullshyt. It goes back to the idea that the only people qualified to steal from black people are fellow black people. We see this used by politicians like Kwame Kilpatrick and others all the time as they steal from a community while blaming the white man. Diddy hustled Biggie and others out of their publishing, Dame literally stole money from Sigel/others, Russel hustled dudes into bad contracts, etc. Yet all this is ok because they're "of the culture?"

Combat Jack wanted to get both sides of the story, he DID NOT take a side. For Dame to attack him in such an ugly manner tells you everything you need to know about him. He has known Jack for years, Jack has said he considers him a close friend, yet Dame throws him in the bushes like it was nothing. That's how sociopaths act. He has no friends, he doesn't give a shyt about anything but himself.

to be fair if you're interviewing someone thats primarily behind the scenes like a joie manda you probably do need to spend some time establishing who he is and what he's done to listeners. its not like he's a lyor or kevin liles where he's an executive who gets a lot of press and name drops. nor is he an ebro who all of a sudden decides to be allllllll up in the microphone/camera for seemingly no reason.

Correction: I've know Dame since '91. We've been cool, and not so cool and cool again, and now, not so cool, so we've never been close friends. Secondly, I don't ever want this to spiral into a "lets bash Dame" thing. I just wanted to give ya'll my side of the story.
