The Redman interview where he had Red just sitting there listening to him while he was fishing for cosigns put him on the ledge for me.
The one with Vlad where he was fishing for cosigns pushed him over.
He tried to turn Combat Jack show into the Dame show because he saw it's reach and popularity. Combat kept it his show and Dame flipped on him and decided to try to do his own show thru these videos of him getting his hair cut (dude is bald by the way) and talking to "celebs" is tiring quickly.
Whoever told him he needs his own show needs to be fired. He ain't built like that........Past his complaining about "culture vultures" Ain't nobody trying to hear Dame rant aimlessly while smoking joints. I don't see the facts or exposure. He wants to be in the spotlight again. I get it. Do it thru work (this new Cam run) etc and deal with real shyt.
Or put folks on to how to do big business and where you failed and succeeded. That's more valuable than all this damn ranting. I'm really just mad disappointed because I thought he was going somewhere with all this.
I remember seeing a video where he only wore a pair of socks once then threw them away.
I knew he would be broke
Upstairs is for Dash’s clothes. It’s a sort of three-bedroom closet, where the dressing room and the sneaker room each have their own bathroom. One wall of shelves is for T-shirts and socks; he wears a new set every day, and every month he donates 30 once-worn shirts and pairs of socks to charity. “That way, somebody gets to own basically new stuff and I get to be fly,” he says.
Same goes for his sneakers, which are shelved row upon row upon row, floor-to-ceiling across a wall three times as long (he has 300 at home and an additional thousand in storage). “I get pretty much every cool sneaker that comes out,” he says
“Not many people understand how important having a butler is, but it is,” Dash says. “I need somebody to help me get everything I’m going to wear for the day all set up, know what I’m saying?” A day with Damon Dash is like a Britney Spears concert, with a change of outfits for every phase (he’s currently doing a sort of matchy-matchy homeboy thing with below-the-knees shorts, a long-sleeved T-shirt, and spotless leather high-tops, all in red). “You’d think it’s easy, but I’ve got a lot to put together, accessory-wise, especially at night. Cuff links are a motherfukker.”
Word. What positive outcome or progression will come from calling out/complaining about all the "Culture Vultures"?
Instead of making these guys more known, he should use his knowledge about the industry to mentor new execs and make actual changes.
At first I thought he was being genuine but now its clear he is just doing damage control on his image because he wants to launch new projects and is accumulating more L's in the process
