do yall realize how hard it is to get shelf space...much less nationwide distribution for an auto accescories product?

:what:

this is MOTOR OIL!! ....you think the "big dawgs" like CASTRO , QUAKER STATE..and VALVOLINE gonna let a "n1gga with an upstart indy brand" get in the "game" with no problems and let him "eat"???

give dame some credit.....i know what he's going thru (no sway)

i developed a gel with strong pain relieving properties with a black female chiropractor i knew for years...

and we have been catching HELL just trying to get the FDA to give us the greenlight to go full speed with mass production of the product

not to mention when we were able to sell it on certain sites....the "hate" and "antics" that came from our competitors was ridiculous

but i have faith in dame...

because DAME DASH was fully aware of this so he is fully prepared

...as he stated............"when it. comes to distributipn....that's when shyt gets a little gangsta"

Where can I get that gel at?

you seem knowlegable

what's up with 100% gasoline.. i've only seen it in one gas station.. but most i'm guessing are not 100%. but this one still has the different octanes... just certain pumps say "100% gasoline, no ethanol"

does that shyt fukk up your car?
My opinion is that most modern engines/motors are probably able to withstand any gasoline on the market. The fuel injectors are able to compensate for any differences between the fuels. And the fuel lines don't corrode as easily as in older cars. As long as you're driving a modern car (<10 yrs) then it really doesn't matter either way.

Where can I get that gel at?

we plan on shipping out bottles starting by at least mid november .

myself and my business partner decided to cut our overhead expenses by scrapping the idea of selling it through a third party distributor or even openin our own website and just decided to set up our own vender booths via Ebay and Amazon and other outlets

we got a good buzz on it thus far , she has been selling it hand to hand at her massuese salon locally so we look forward to distributing the product globally.....

i'll pm you on this site and share the link once we go "live" for sales in november...i'll probally make a 10 oz sample available to you free of charge since you inquired about the product

and to show "love" to a fellow Coli member :salute:

you say all this to say what?

Man, what happened to Dame is a great businessman shyt nyggas use to kick in ROC heyday?

:why:

i say that to simply emphasize the point that regardless how much of a "clown" you think Dame is...

DAME is a man who puts his dreams into action...regardless how flawed or underachieving the result might be...

at least he did something many people aren't willin to do which is TRY.....cause we are too concerned as black people about how we are percieved or buy into the NEGATIVITY that others such as yourself keep throwing at us...

And that takes HEART my friend ....so many particuarly BLACK PEOPLE aren't making business moves simply because they are SCARED TO TAKE RISKS....

i refuse to believe african americans are less competant than other people when it comes to business affaris , we just simply lack the confidence because our lack of solidarity and trust issues over the years....

but if you really "bout it bout it" and want to succeed by any means neccesary , then you will do like DAME and say fukk it "im going in!!"

and you saw that with the ROC im pretty sure he had haters back then....you have to realize NO OTHER label at the time particuarly in NYC had a joint label venture like CASH MONEY and NO LIMIT...rocafella set a precedant as an east coast imprint ran by african amerian men (biggs, jay, dame)...

you gotta salute thier accomplishment it outweighed thier falures......

it is very inspring.......DAME fought hard!! for not only soverignty of his brand but respect as well.....

and its a damn shame we got "self hating" n1ggas such as yourself that can't fathom the nobility of that concept :snoop:

you remind me of my ex whom fail to see the value of my "business plan" but now has changed her tune , once she seen the fruitation of my "dream" coming to light...

now her "punk azz" wants to "offer her assistance" ... :camby: gtfoh

Nobody carries Dame Dash's motor oil...
It's available absolutely no where on the world wide Web except Dame Dash's personal site/blog.

He has a product with no distribution.

If this is the definition of bossin' up I'd rather have a day job.

Who cares though. Its motor oil, either buy it or don't. Again its motor oil.

Most powerful post in your posting career.

I do some volunteer work with non-profits that help those within our community interested in starting small businesses and I can say without a doubt that is one of the biggest obstacles I see. When people mentally calculate the pros/cons of trying to open your own business, one important factor is your level of confidence in support from your network (I use that term loosely, not necessarily a network of professional colleagues etc), whether that be immediate family, friends, neighborhood, organizations to which you belong. Unfortunately, in our communities there is a underlying feeling by entrepreneurs (actual or potential) that they will not have that support.

The sad part about this is that black people are natural entrepreneurs (by choice and necessity). Think about how many concepts/ideas/fads/memes that have taken over the pubic consciousness, both in the US and worldwide, within just the last 5-10 years have originated within the community. And really think about what would happen if the creators were able to monetize this power and not someone who happened to come across it on the internet 5 years later.

yeah, when it comes to taking risks and making things happen, their's no1 else I would put ahead of dame ( within the hip hop circle)

dude goes all out

I would love him to push his dd172 and creative control companies more :wow:, both of those companies are/was a great niche

I believe he will have something good soon though, tweak his approach a lil and he will find the right one:takedat:

Interesting.

You right.

Every industry has guilds/cartel/oligopolies.
I forgot who said that "competition is a sin".
