Unless they get Victor, Dame has played his last game as a Blazer

Victor's timeline doesn't match up with Dame exactly but the hope would be he's basically immediately, generationally great and they're doing damage in the playoff picture right away like when Duncan went to the Spurs. The chances of that are extremely low but I can't see them moving Dame if they get Victor regardless

If they don't win the lottery I think they will move Dame to the highest bidder. He has too much pride to ask out but they will do the right thing and move him somewhere he at least can go to the playoffs
victor bout to be fragile in the L.

i'll add that to my list of shyt takes

Do it masai!!!!
Van vleet and and og anunoby
Right now word is og and precious for simons and possibly Nurk, and a 1st rounder this would the be the Knicks, not the lotto.

And let me put this out. Simons is a fukking killer, before anyone acts like Simons isn’t a fair trade for anyone.

But long term they really like Sharpe

He did all he could. Look at the numbers. Portland failed him again. But... I say the same thing in every Dame thread because most posters on the coli are afraid to answer the question.

Name the top 5 players Dame has had in Portland :mjlol: Then try to tell me it's his fault...
This is like the same thread in less than a few weeks and nothing has changed.

They're even giving the same responses.

I even went into this season with zero expectations.

The goal was always to make a move this offseason.

If people really care, they'd know that technically Portland is "rebuilding" right now. Most of the roster is on the younger side.

They're planning to make some moves this offseason, which always been the case.

They also needed to get out of some horrible contracts from the previous GM.

They plan to "overpay" this offseason from what I'm hearing. And those 2 first rounders and along with Simons should land a few pieces.

Reason why Simons and Lillard couldn't coexist, and this current roster, isn't good is because the majority of the squad is under 6'6.

The apparent height difference, night in and out makes a difference. And is causing more injuries, because while talented and the ability to competitive, it makes they're working harder.

I get what you're saying, I just feel Portland is more than a piece or two away from legitimately contending. They can probably get a team together that could make the playoffs and win a round but I don't see them putting it together while Dame is in his prime to give him an actual shot at a ring.

They could always make the playoffs though.

When Terry Stotts was the head coach they made the playoffs every year.

Heck they're sitting Lillard right now because he's talented enough to still go on a run and make the playoffs.

That's why he gets frustrated at having sit, because he knows he can wheel the blazers that far.

But the gameplan has always been to see what happens this offseason.

They need to win the ship but at least contend.

And last I checked lillard was still beasting it and getting to points almost at will

It would seem on the surface that a separation would be beneficial for both parties at this point.

He's not winning on any team he'd be able to be traded to, so I don't get it. Dame is done.
