I'll just say this: If Lillard (and this is a major big leap and purely hypothetical) is discontent with Portland limiting the exposure he may get come all-star time, there's no difference between him and Aldridge who left for vain ass reasons. Lillard ain't that petty, but Portland took more L's than any team with their spending spree a couple of years ago.

I don’t see why he keeps making a big deal about not making the all star team. Whose spot is he supposed to take, russ? Curry? Cp3?

He’s not in the top 5 tier 1 PG talk.

There's incentives and bonuses to making the all-star team, and then it's harder to overlook you come time to make all-nba teams, and that triggers kickers into your deal.

Evan Turner, Moe Harkless and Meyers Leonard are three of the five highest-paid players in Portland. Turner signed for four years and $70 million, Harkless re-signed at four years, $40 million, and Leonard re-upped for four years, $41 million. But Turner has drastically underperformed, while Harkless and Leonard are out of the rotation altogether.

Furthermore, the contracts of Andrew Nicholson ($2.8 million annually), Anderson Varejao ($1.9 million annually) and Festus Ezeli ($333,333 annually) are stretched out to 2024, 2021 and 2020, respectively.

my goodness Portland :scust:

You’re 100% correct, so let me rephrase. I understand why he keeps making a big deal since it might be affecting his money and overall worldwide recognition. But in no way is he an all star, no knock against him but the PG position is to deep in the NBA.
