Dame to me is a #1 option but he's not someone you can build around easily. He needs another #1 option but one that is a big man.
Dame is hella talented but I consider him an elite third option on a true contender and a very good 2nd option on a team with a second round exit ceiling.

You’re 100% correct, so let me rephrase. I understand why he keeps making a big deal since it might be affecting his money and overall worldwide recognition. But in no way is he an all star, no knock against him but the PG position is to deep in the NBA.

:what: He's averaging 25 pts & 6 asts, and Portland is over .500

If you want to win a championship Dame cant be your best player. A score first PG that doesnt really defend needs a frontcourt player to be right on par or better than him. I've also said this about Curry before and I was proven wrong but I'm sure about this especially in Dame's case. :francis:

His #s wouldn't get much better than they are now. He controls the ball for 8 minutes per game (only Wall, Westbrook and Harden have the ball in their hands for longer), compared to Curry who only controls the ball for 5.4 minutes per game. If he was on a loaded squad, he'd have the ball in his hands less, and therefore his surface #s would decrease.

Except Lillard has a lot of talent around him, he plays with a top-5 SG, and one of the best offensive big men in the league. The problem is the T'Blazers don't have a great amount of talent outside of their starting lineup, you know the players that Lillard doesn't typically play with.
