Having a gay child isnt a parents worst nightmare. Far from it unless you a religious nut or run aroubd talking about “tradition” or “old school.”

That said, the vast majority of parents dont wish for an LGBTQ child nor do they imagine themselves with one. They want straight, typical children. How they respond after knowing they have themselves and LGBTQ child however is a different story. Im of the “rather have a gay child then a criminal one” and its not even to compare homosexuality to crime, its just not one of the worst things at all outside of the upbringing being a bit more difficult socially.
