I had a similar situation where I had to end up shaving my head. First bit of advice I would give you is to get you some after shave cream, lotion, or balm so your head don't bump up. I would put it on daily. Second get your lie straight. I don't know what to tell the girl you meeting but for co-workers I would tell them you been thinking about trying it out and went ahead and dove in with it. Then when you grow your hair back out just say, "keeping your head bald is harder to maintain than most people would think. who knew?"
