Dude u not even speaking facts. Sylvester was like Rupaul. A Black homo that was just around. Wasnt no official nikkaz bumping no Rupaul. Wasnt nobody in the hood bumping no damn Rupaul. Only dudes fukking with Rupaul were already gay. You sitting here comparing something nikkaz wasnt really fukking with back in the days to rappers who are popping with the youth. It doesnt match up.....U cant compare the two. Uzi is popping with these young nikkaz....Young nikkaz bump Uzi.......Rupaul and Sylverster wasnt popping with real nikkaz like that. Wasnt no real nikkaz bumping any of that shyt.

I’m just laughing at coming across Sylvester of all people... SYLVESTER!:laff:

And that dude was one of a kind man.. There was way too many acts back then to just care about Sylvester. Dude had a couple of hits but his career suffered BECAUSE HE WAS GAY. Man Young Thug get all kinds of passes now for whatever reason.. nikka would’ve been thrown to the bushes back then if he dressed like that and was wack.

compare 80's r&b artists to todays rappers brehs
I didn't mention a date. Gave one example in the op and my account from digging up records.

Like I said before old heads give passes to talented individuals from the past for being moist. If a nikka can sing or play a solid bassline back than ya'll give them a pass.

Now u changing the subject.

Dude I can even be objective and speak on how Black folks took pride in groups like Blue Magic and The Stylistics having lead singers sing falsetto sounding like women. But u didnt start the thread off like that at all. You tried to say that Black folks was really really fukking with Sylvester like that....Like as if he was really embraced by us on the level of The Jackson 5 or The Temptations. Thats how u presented it.

Also...U forget...wasnt too much visuals like that back in the 70's aside from album covers. Videos wasnt popular like that in the 70's. U had to catch your favorite artist when they appeared on TV show specials. So there was more emphases on the actual music then what the artist looked like. And dudes was bringing talent...U in here comparing talent to lyrically weak rappers.
