listen to relapse.. DRE produced every track. all with live instruments

NO SAMPLES on ANY SONGS....

he did use interpolations on a few tracks... but when you look at the music he used in the interoplations then listen tot he track he produced its :ohhh:

  • "Insane" contains interpolations from "Jock Box" by The Skinny Boys
  • "Same Song & Dance" contains an interpolation of "One" by Metallica[122]
  • "We Made You" contains an interpolation of "Hot Summer Nights" by Walter Egan
  • "Beautiful" contains excerpts from "Reaching Out" by Rock Therapy
  • "Crack a Bottle" contains interpolations from "Mais dans ma lumière" by Mike Brant
every other track but those 5 ^^^^ were all completely original music :wow:

I know some of y'all were too young to even known this, but that record was a MONSTER, and an unexpected one too, because nobody saw it coming back in the fall of '92. It was the 1st commercial hit EVER for a hardcore gangsta rap single. It was the "black & yellow" monster hit of that heyday.

As for production credits. Hip hop back then was all about sampling, and even though Dre did sample, he masterfully was one of the 1st to blend sampling with live instrumentation to give that fresh crisp sound instead of a straight dirty sample loop.
