I was in a cab coming home from the grocery store after work and this cab driver was on his phone yacking away.
I paid him no mind because I was exhausted but I already noticed how distracted he was. He merged on to the freeway, accelerated, inexplicably looked back and BANG... Slammed into the back of a van.
I jerked forward (pause) and went into the back of the passenger seat fairly hard (pause). It broke and snapped forward and that seemed to break my fall as well, as I did not feel any injury. The front of the cab was done and the back of the van.
They pulled over to the side and bickered as another cab slid by. I jumped in the other cab as the van driver begged for me to stay as a witness.
It didn't hit me( no pun) how close I was to death until a little while ago. At first I brushed it off, then I realizeda little more room to accelerate I'd be dead for sure.
Anyone else been in an accident? Thoughts?
did you pay him for the cab ride?
btw, if ur injured, you know they are liable for your medical bills.
