Cancer is a general term, curing "cancer" is taking care of several different diseases in that concentrated area.Uggh..2015 brehs and we still taking L's to cancer..makes me question all of this shiit goin' on in the medicine world...like we really cant find a fukkin cure for this shiit?

Some cancers are easier to manage/cure than others.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the worst. That shyt is impossible to diagnose early, but it only shows up when it's too late... Most people die within months of finding out (the lucky ones get a year or so, like Patrick Swayze). It's basically a death sentence.

Lung cancers bad because they're are usually no signs and people find out too late.
My pops was lucky they only found it in his lungs because he had a heart attack and was having surgery so they found it quick otherwise he'd be dead

yeah i know there are 200 something types of cancer..but shouldnt "we" focus on the ones that are killing all these people..its been there since mankind..it may sound simple but these guys are launching rockets into space and cant find a good cure for this terrible disease?

This is why there should be a push towards making living conditions for poor countries more livable. There could be.a genius in a poor country that is not focusing on the things that matter because they don't know where their next glass of water or meal is coming from. Just think of the competition, think of the kind of push would be created if we truly had a level playing field?
We literally have billions of people who don't have access to clean drinking water in 2015. The world is nowhere near as efficient and resourceful as we should be to focus on the problems that hold us back.

Dude has always been apart of the magic of basketball for me. I remember watching games for the first time with my dad, and laughing at his suits as a lil kid. And even once I got older it never lost its humor or appeal to me. I love how he plays the interviews straight, as if what he's wearing is perfectly normal lol.

He was first diagnosed in 2007, he beat it... It came back in 2011, he beat it again...
Then the final straw was in 2013

He could have lived alot longer but he didn't accept traditional treatment and instead he did dumb shyt like acupuncture and meditation

Depends what kind of cancer and how quick they catch it.I know plenty of people who beat it and others who didn't
