I understand the writer talk on MCing but this is whatever.
That's the thing though, it puts the concept of "Drake" into perspective.
You notice we don't do cover bands in Hip Hop....you can't make a name for yourself performing another nikkas rap songs. Singers can do that though because their talent is about how well they sing. You take somebody like Mariah Carey and she can probably sing better than the majority of people who have ever written a song for her, they MIGHT have semi-comparable talent at MAX but that's it. Drake on the other hand...
He's most likely getting joints from people that could sing them better than he could (Weeknd) just because has a bigger brand and wants to bolster it further.
So when when you consider the controversy with his raps along with the fact that he can't even really sing the shyt that's being written for him that well you kinda wonder wtf he's really being given all this credit for.
