but you cant keep the music..........

this is true. but everywhere i play music i have spotify at my disposable. In my car i hook my phone up to stereo, at home i can do the same or use computer. so even if i had the music what would i do differently? i guess im missing out on being able to burn cds but theres no point. cd's are dead in my eyes.

but just another thing. since this is an old thread. a lot of people i know who try spotify out just try the radio poriton of the app. i feel like spotify doesnt advertise the premium membership option and what comes with it as much as they should. i know some friends who tried spotify, did the radio thing, and went back to pandora cuz they felt it was superior. i cant really argue that since i dont use that. but the premium membership is piff. its not perfect but for $10 a month sheeeeiiit. thats like 1 drink at the bar.

i dont even think pandora's radio is superior... you can make a playlist of like 4 different genres of music and make a radio station of your playlist...

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Spotify is like the matrix a false sense of reality. If you can't keep the music what's the point. They even tease you with the free trial but there is too many resources at ones disposal to ever convice me to pay just to listen to a song.

Ya I've been paying premium for about a year..way more music than pandora..say if I have a snoop station on pandora, they would only play 15 snoop tracks mixed in with other stuff..with spotify I can hear all his albums and then some..if you know how to make playlists on spotify you'll be cool..I have like 20 playlists..

Like my man said, what's the purpose of keeping the music if you can play it anywhere you want anyway? Everywhere I go, I can use my Spotify account.

That's probably their main talking point/sales pitch. I was tempted to buy it but I can just as easily download. I have hundreds of albums and tens of thousands of songs already so I don't see the point in paying for a service that will allow me to stream a lot of the music I already have. if there is a song or album I can't download or find I will pay for it.

I hear you dude. I'm basically paying for convenience at this point.

this.

pretty much every song i have in my playlists i could prob find online to dl but i just dont have the patience to hunt everything down, make sure its in good enough quality, etc. i dont have a membership to any of those file hosting sites (rapidshare type sites) so my dl speeds are always capped with limitations on how much i can download per hour/day. its just so much easier for me to hop in my car and be like "i wanna listen to Inspectah Deck's first album right now" search for it real quick, and boom im playing the album 60 seconds later.

to each his own tho
