Facebook bought it from them for 1 billion dollars

Paranormal Activity.

A wack made from home movie, with a terrible plot, but catered to what was popular the time by combining scary movies with reality(reality TV i guess)

What happened to the people who came up with this "brilliant movie idea?"

They grossed 193million dollars at the box office and 3 sequels have been made.

Cost to start all of this causing them to be multi millionaires? 15,000 dollars.

Theres people that made apps and got pretty decent pay. Making an app is free all you need is 100 dollars for apple, or 25 if you using droid.

Instagram obviously had backing it easily could have failed like the other photo apps

Paranormal Activity was bought by paramount they don't tell u about the $$$ they use to promote the flicks. I'm sure u can find similar movies that weren't that lucky

There's a 15 year old girl who's making 6 figures all because she had the idea to get furniture from foreclosed homes and sell them on Ebay. She eventually made so much money from that, that she bought a 12,000 dollar house in her area and fixed it up and is renting it out.

When are people gonna learn it's not that the people who made Paranormal Activity and Instagram are these GENIUS folks its just the simple fact that they got off their ass and made something happen. Everybody from me and whoever else is reading this has great ideas in their head that, for whatever reason, might never see the light of day. And the reason being is most folks come up with excuses for why they can't do it instead of just doing it.

For instances me and my homies decided last month that we were going to put a hiphop themed cooking show together since my homey in Raleigh, NC just spent the past year remodeling a restaurant he bought in December 2011. While we are waiting for the state to give him his liquor license and permits so he can open up to the public we just decided to shoot a cooking show as something to do and another avenue to promote our music and the restaurant cuz rite now the spot is just a quarter million dollar hang out spot for the homies to watch TV at.

I used my video camera and two other homies brought they camera, we filmed and I edited 2 episodes so far. nikkaS LOVE IT. Big Daddy Kane lives in Raleigh NC and caught wind of the show so his people contacted us about filming an episode with him. We shoot next week. Food Lion caught wind of the show and offered us a 50 dollar gift card each week to buy groceries for each show we do. Then my homey gets a call last Thursday, one of his people in NY wants to shop the show to the food network once we get enuff episodes done.

The equipment we use isn't great, the mics we use are the default one's on the camcorder, so the sound isn't great. In order to compensate I had my beats playing under it to mask the quality and people love my music. The cameras we used are all different brands with different image quality and half the bulbs on my light rig are blown out but we just did the shyt regardless hoping people can see the vision and invest in it and it's happening all cuz we just needed something to do till this restaurant opens and followed thru on it. The point I'm trying to make is just do it instead of think it.
