I hate it had to be him, and hope its not, but these players typically know instantly when they tear that ACL even before the MRI.

After leaving a Jan. 29 game against the Charlotte Bobcats with a leg injury, reports surfaced that the exciting guard for the Denver Nuggets sprained his ACL.
Aaron J. Lopez of the team's official website reported, "Nate Robinson has been ruled out of Friday’s game against the Toronto Raptors after an MRI Thursday revealed a sprained anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee." Lopez added that Robinson would be evaluated again Friday.
Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw said of Robinson's injury, "When they’ve gathered as much information as they can gather, we’ll go from there. It’s probably safe to say he’ll miss some time."
However, Frank Isola of the New York Daily News is reporting that the injury is more severe than just a sprain:
Word out of Denver is that Nate Robinson has a torn ACL...going for a second opinion. Tough break for a guy who loves to play.

The hope in Denver will be that Robinson indeed has only sprained his knee.
He was averaging 10.4 points and 2.5 assists in 19.7 minutes per game and was in the starting lineup against the Bobcats in place of Ty Lawson, who is also injured.
If Robinson is indeed lost for the year, it will take away one of Denver's sparks off the bench. That would be a pretty big blow for a team trying to scratch and claw its way back into the playoff picture.
