Damn I guess it's official. Another Philly Legend retiring. Even though A.I. and Donovan never got to hold that Title up, they had impact on both their sports and they will never be forgotten. Donovan Lost his ring to the Patriot Dynasty and A.I. lost his ring against the Lakers Dynasty. Salute

Philadelphia had a huge presence in the 2000s. Donovan McNabb & the Eagles, Allen Iverson & the Sixers, Beanie Sigel & State Prop. I miss them days :ahh:

Iverson did this to himself brehs, he got no one else to blame.

I'm sure Stern and his goons didn't want him and his hiphop image in the league BUT that's not the only reason he's outta the league. He fukked up by not being willing to accept a bench role when he wasn't starter material and having a bad attitude.

Stern can eat a dikk. He didn't have a problem with his hiphop image when Bron and Wade weren't in the league yet and he needed someone to replace the void left by Jordan :comeon:

Dudes like Kyle Korver and Derrick Fisher were still starting when A.I. was tryna to make a comeback. That's disrespectful as hell.

He didn't want to come off the bench, dude thought he was still an all-star :russ:

Well he was, considering he was voted a starter up until 2010.

But can we stop with the hating already? The man is done, let's appreciate what he did instead of throwing jabs.

Yes it is but are you surprised Iverson, like every other black man had things against him in the work field? :aicmon:

Owners and coaches most likely had no problems with Iverson playing if he had a good attitude, but he didn't. Stern wanted him gone, that I'm absolutely sure of because he tried to clean up the league from the whole hiphop thing. Which is hilarious because its what saved the league after Jordan retired but Stern doesnt give a fukk now that the league strong again. He's a cold hearted business man and couldn't care less about Iverson helping the NBA stay relevant through some of the most boring NBA years (98-03).

Instead of shytting on him lets use this thread to give this man his just due. I saw the end of Jordan's career, I lived in the time of the dynasty lakers and spurs, saw the rising of the leagues current superstars, pound for pound AI's the best I've ever seen

I'll always remember this legendary performance

:scusthov: Kobe was getting his cookies taken all game, he got plucked 4 times in the first quarter alone

Yep. Stern's a fukkin hypocrite. He had no problem using Iverson until Bron, Wade and Melo came in. For a NBA commissioner, that was a fukkin dream draft. Then Kobe started coming into his own as a player with Shaq gone. All of sudden, he didn't need A.I. no more. There's only about 6, 7 notable point guards and shooting guards in the league. The talent level drops like an anvil after those top 6 or 7. Go look around at the rosters in 2010. You can't tell me nikkas like Jarrett Jack and Jonny Flynn were better than Allen Iverson. I don't care how old he was :aicmon:

That crossover on MJ and him carrying the 01 bum ass Sixer team to a finals will live on but its overshadowed by how he went out...

Shoulda went out like KG or Ray Ray playing on 'ship teams and enjoying his last few years, not playing in fukkn Turkey for free hydro and electricity...
