Come on. I'm not using war in a literal sense. I get what you're saying, though. Both sides should be able to talk these things out amongst each other, because the experiences in this country aren't all that different. There's too much noise for that to happen, though. And far too many provocateurs fanning the flames. People don't seem interested - they just want to fire back and hurt each out.What war? There is no war. There is only bickering that both sides participate in. Real wars have tangible consequences, this family bickering only has hurt feelings and gaslighting. I say let the problems be aired, argued, and then hopefully resolved. Hiding away from the problems we have with each other allows those problems to fester and never have a chance of being resolved.
Edit: I've lived long enough to doubt the truth of this statement. People just aren't cut that way. Humans are too comfortable in their ignorance. And the dopamine hit from some get back feels too good.
