Can someone explain how he got his sentence cut short?

His lawyer was incompetent and has been disbarred since. He advised Max not to take a 10 year plea deal that woulda had him home in 7 years. He was given 75 years for a crime he was in a different state when it happened.

Allegedly cause it wasn’t an outright murder. The initial charge made it seem like he sent people to assassinate cats. The appeal got it right, he sent people to rob people but someone got killed.



But I don’t know if he actually got it cut though, dudes keep on talking about his court case like they are just chopping it up with the judge at some bar. “Yeah he’s coming home next year or maybe the year after that”
