Five people are dead and more than 150,000 are under evacuation orders as a new blaze burns through Hollywood Hills.

The Palisades Fire is now the most destructive in Los Angeles history.

$100 Million In Palisades Relief Disappears In Democratic Party's NGO Network

read the article and looked into other reporting sources for this. also looked into the annenberg foundation. i don't see anything that could preclude financial malfeasance. and there's also no connection to "democratic ngos" or democratic politicians or democratic party influence whatsoever.

this appears to be making the rounds through conservative outlets but it's definitely "spin".

fireaid publicized from the very beginning that the funds would go to area non-profits who had services or programs addressing the palisades fire and that those funds would be administered in rounds. funds were never publicized that they would go directly to individuals and that's not the best and most efficient way to get the greatest amount of funds to the greatest amount of people. you do it through organizations that already have deep community reach many of whom offering social services to the public.

annenberg foundation is a non-partisan and non-religious affiliated foundation that fiscally oversees a conglomerate of non-profits around the palisades community and environs that are assisting with relief efforts. fireaid gave the funds in three rounds to the annenberg foundation and the foundation administered those funds to various organizations assisting with relief. the reason why this foundation was chosen was because it already oversees a high number of non-profits that services the palisades area. the reason why i say the article is spin is because this foundation has no link to the dem party whatsoever. I was a board member for a foundation in chicago that operated in the same manner as annenberg. we fiscally oversaw and provided funding to about twenty five non-profits around chicago that were addressing homelessness, food shortage, education, etc. nothing nefarious about this.

it appears that people are just upset that the funds weren't given out directly to individuals but again, not the best way to administer funds across the widest areas in need of relief which would include housing, medical, food, animals, animal habitat (environment), business, education, not to say in the least that it would be a logistical nightmare. then also coming up with formulas on who gets what and at what amount? too much of a headache.

the attempt to paint this as having to do with dems is propaganda. people are just upset that they didn't get thr funds directly which I could sympathize with however is not the best way to address relief efforts and actually increases the chances for financial malfeasance.

not trying to provide cover for dems as they have the same capacity for corruption as republicans however there is no link here and don't understand why conservatives are trying to make that connection.

Authorities have made an arrest in connection with the deadly and devastating Palisades Fire that ravaged part of Los Angeles earlier this year. Jonathan Rinderknecht was named as a suspect at a press conference on Oct. 8, months after the deadly fire killed 12 people.

The Palisades Fire, along with the Eaton Fire in another part of Los Angeles County, erupted on Jan. 7 and burned for weeks. The two fires combined claimed at least 31 lives, with researchers putting the toll much higher. Thousands of homes and other structures were destroyed.Authorities have made an arrest in connection with the deadly and devastating Palisades Fire that ravaged part of Los Angeles earlier this year.
