cats are tripping in this thread

but its expected because everybody is "a beat maker" now

blues is a structure.... not a completely stolen thing that was hiding. the songs are redone you will say (sometimes) but nobody gets props for that. This aint the 60s

and to the dude that said chopping up songs that are already hits is harder than playing guitar. you are an idiot, if its that easy then why didnt you just play your own song on guitar and sample that?

ill battle any one of yall nose in the air, stealing other peoples work, Hiding behind elitist feelings ass nikkas in any category to prove you dont know what you're doing

Its funny how technology back then was more limited, yet beats from back in the days sound more lively and fuller :ohhh:

because they used live instruments many times and they used analog recording back then (vinyl)

now everything is digital so it sounds more flat

They see me trolling, they hating.....
Just said he never heard that song before he sampled it
And didn't know it was popular
But even that beat took skill
Give the average producer that sample and just blaze that sample tell me who's beat would sound better

track is on just about on every Best of Curtis Mayfeild album or greatest hits

ain't no way Just blaze who is 40+ didn't hear that track before he sampled it. He wasn't some 17 yr old kid

and fuk a sample, if Just Blaze could play those instruments then I'd be impressed, Quincy Jones was right about these hiphop n1ggas b

You must be pretty impressed with DJ Quik then, he plays a lot of his own instruments and has a lot of live music in his beats. Dr Dre too. What about Rick Rubin tho? I don't know how many instruments he played when he was producing for the Chili Peppers

Quincy could not only play an instrument but he was/is a
very talented composer as well, please listen to
"The Dude" and "You got it bad girl"
after that check out all of the records
he's either written or been apart of in the producing
sense.
The mans a GENIUS and a LIVING LEGEND.
:smh: @ "Lol @ quincy"
