This. Sherman was very immature and in reality I think he should apologize. I can assure you if Bryant Gumbel or Bob Costas (both who came up around the same time as Bayless) would not be abused in that sort of manner and I heard the Stephen A rant and he's right, it's cool to disagree with the dude but he has more than earned the respect he's due, you got 25-26 year old journalism graduates talking slick about the dude and I think that uncalled for. If I want unfiltered sports opinions and opinions on other journalists that I can see my coli brethren ans speak with them but I wish that there would be a little more professionalism when I watch this stuff on TV. I think that element is eroding, this whole Sherman thing was indicative of that.

He's won sportswriter of the year multiple times, written for some of the largest media outlets in the country, and at one point he was one of the highest paid sportswriters in the nation. He's far from the dumbass he plays on TV.
