For anyone interested in the story, that was his father in law's house and Ray is his father in law. Sherman was drunk and belligerent. Something must have happened to spark an obvious argument between the two. When the police came to arrest Sherman, he initially did not comply. They had to use a K9 which bit him on the ankle. Once in custody it seems once he realized what's going on, (and maybe the alcohol wore off) he was compliant. Ashley Sherman (his wife) told police he had been on antidepressants and was receiving mental health counseling Source is on ESPN
