I agree they need someone to come in and shake up the lineup with new ideas its been the same network with no growth for a long time I havent had it in awhile though opencourt is a great idea and executed properly. Do they still show that same highlights show form late night until like noon the next day lol.
Yup lol

It's funny how NFL network has expressive personalities like deion and playmaker Irvin. But NBA rather stick to cookie cutters. Gary Payton is the greatest player personality on TV bar none. He just get the hood out of everybody which makes for pure fukkery and entertainment. Oakland's finest :wow:
When he went to FS1 did any of you care? :sas2:

How they don't have their very own "First Take" or "Around The Horn" show every morning is down right criminal and absurd imo.. Especially during the season. Its cost no money to make a show like that. They already have the set:why:
The NBA lives on the Internet. Between Twitter, Vines, memes and podcasts it's gonna come at the expense of anyone giving a shyt about the product on TV. A lot of the insightful minds that do podcasts and Grantland are great for the net. Put em on TV and y'all will hate them as much as The Starters.

From a production standpoint Turner could do a lot better but the NBA is kinda weird in that for as big as it is, these sports channels cater to die hards and the NBA has the least of those types of fans.

Bullsh*t.. NBA fans are starving out here. People want to enforce that narrative that there's no die hards for the NBA but in reality its an under-served-neglected community that wants to hear serious hoops being discussed on a daily bases if possible. We don't want to wake up in the morning to hear about Tom Brady, Payton Manning and the Cowboys every single minute, we want to hear about the NBA with the new low key cores, the hot/cold teams, new rooks ballin', MVP races, etc.

"Build it and they will come". NBA TV needs to adapt this mantra. Even so there is no reason whatsoever that they don't have- at worst- a 30 minute Around The Horn show every morning during the regular season. I don't care what you or anybody has to say. That's 'programming 101' for any sports channel no matter their budget these days.

Technically you have to pay a few of those guys to renegotiate another contract to do those shows. It isn't worth the leagues time or Turner's to do it. They just want to strictly push TNT Thursday. This network probably is breaking even at best and no one is going to cancel there NBA TV subscriptions anytime soon because every other show besides highlights is pretty bad, nor will people start paying just to watch shows on the network.

Breh a show like that is standard for any sports channel. Its not a episode of Game Of Thrones which on average cost $6 million an episode to make. A round table sports talk show is cheap cheap programming at its finest. You don't even have to use the regular guys from TNT and NBA TV.. The journalist- beat writers that write for newspapers are cheap. They're just trying to get their name out and show their face. I believe I heard something like the guys-journalist on ATH get like $400 bucks an episode- If I can recall correctly. The NBA is the biggest basketball league in the world. They're making money hand over fist with their international rights and broadcast.
