In both instances police rushed by me to harass some African brehs. They probably recognized them from previous encounters but still it was weird to see them filter me out so easily

Less dramatic but felt like I got more “respect” in conversation in places where African Americans probably aren’t casually vacationing. Like Brussels is known for being institutionally racist to its black locals but I got nothing but respect and love from cacs out there

Brussels threw me off too. Went to one of the lambic beer brewery tours with all the pulleys and vats and thought I would be just pushed through without a real tour on some peasant tip. I noticed no kind of cism at all...and I know Brussels is hard on Africans.
