She died when he was already an adult. She did her job as a parent to raise him and show him how to live. As a man, he's gotta stand on his own two feet. He's responsible for his own actions. Not run to his mama to get him out of everything or tell him right from wrong.

I like to imagine an alternate universe where Kanye and Kendrick Lamar collaborated on an album called 'Rising and Setting (Sons) ' with features from Andre 3K, Black star, Q-Tip, and J. Cole. It went on to be one of the most streamed albums of all time.

Donda west would do the intro and outro to the album, it would just be a recording of her talking about how music influenced black people throughout our history in America and what it means to us and how proud she is that her son is keeping the tradition alive.

Kanye would produce some of the tracks himself, and it would be the first album featuring a young producer called Metro. If it's true that there are infinite number of universes, this thing exists and there's a version of Kanye west who actually prided himself on reading and staying educated.
