not surprising. keep seeing these real estate vids where people show off where they live. the vids from atlanta and houston routinely showing off basic ass new build apartments that the developers slapped "luxury" on and got these fools paying $6000-$8000/month. a travesty.
Houston def not low cost of living anymore. Plus high property taxes. Plus fake image culture is huge. Everybody think they a celebrity maxing out their cc going on expensive vacations etc.
Everyone down in those cities try to get their Birdman on, only to live like Ray Benzino.
I'd have to see more of the methodology but 2 thoughts
1) The local employment markets/economy aren't as strong as the others on the list
2) The Sun Belt States are a leading indicator of things to come.
Less restrictions....Cheap Houses...low taxes....less social services - like education, infrastructure maintenance, etc...
