This is a throwaway season. Next season might be as well. LeBron needs to retire so Lakers can use that space for roster construction.
I compare this season to the MJ ‘I’m back’ season. Obviously Luka is not Jordan but he’s rusty and not himself like Mike wasn’t.
So this offseason needs to be the best of his life, they sign a defensive big, and next year is their last dance. If I’m LA you got one more shot Bron then you gotta gtfoh. Bc there is a point of diminishing returns where even a passable, top 10 Bron is a net negative bc he’s such a outsized figure that he’s holding guys back. Next year needs to be Bron’s last unless they win a chip

Sad thing is this year OKC can get got by anybody. This will probably be the last year then OKC will become a dynasty. This year's West playoffs will be matchups. Any team 1-12 can get hot and make the finals i.e. the Mavs last year.
Mavs and Grizzlies are wild cards. They both can lose in the first round, but both can make the finals. A healthy and fit AD can do damage in the playoffs with that roster.
If he retires on time, they may be able to get Giannis. But I doubt it.
Lakers traded in Street Clothes for Yoga Pants. Luka just having a fun time outthere doing Aerobics.
