I'm really surprised at the amount of :cape:the coli militants are doing for Dre considering how much of a massive c00n he is. this dude abuses black women in music and in real life, signs a white rapper who made songs disrespecting black women and to top it all off wifed up a white woman. and ya'll are wondering why black women hate his guts? I wonder how supportive ya'll would be of Dre if the genders were reversed...

Personally speaking, I'm not a fan of dre at all. He is a major c00n and has helped destroy the image of black men on a global scale. With that said, there's clearly an agenda going on. Dre is obviously guilty, but there's a blatant double standard in the way these cases are reported. They're continuing the narrative of the agressive, hyper sexual, violent black male. Keep thinking this isn't race related. This country was built on racism. That propaganda movie, The Birth Of A Nation was viewed at the White House...

The Birth of a Nation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The film was a commercial success, though it was highly controversial owing to its portrayal of black men (some played by white actors in blackface) as unintelligent and sexually aggressive towards white women, and the portrayal of the Ku Klux Klan (whose original founding is dramatized) as a heroic force.[6][7]There were widespread African-American protests against The Birth of a Nation, such as in Boston, while thousands of white Bostonians flocked to see the film

I think you're missing the point completely. No one is condoning beating women at all, its just suspect how these women want to bring up this shyt and launch a campaign against him at a rather convenient time. He's not the first black, successful male they've done this to. "Quick, he's doing too good! Let's dig up some dirt and put it out there even though we clearly never gave a fukk about it till now!":francis:

Not as many venues then as now to call attention to a concern. I wonder if he paid Dee Barnes & the rest of them hush money or not.

I can't stand the obvious bias sometimes. John Lennon beat up a ton of women in the past too, but he's a great, hippie, peaceful legend. Dude has hit women publicly.

Not saying Dr. Dre is in the right because he's just as gulty as John Lennon. But you can't praise one and scold the other.

I'm the biggest Beatle fan there is, and I have tremendous respect for Lennon as an artist. But it's true: He was a violent man, and admitted as such openly. That's why he was so into peace. It was something (as someone given to aggression) he aspired to. That line in McCartney's song Getting Better, which goes "I used to be cruel to my woman, I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved . . ." was written by Lennon.

He didn't hide the fact that he was an abuser. He put it in songs, right there up front. So he wasn't actually a hypocrite. He fessed up to what he did.

But he wasn't just violent against women. According to some biographers, Lennon suffered feelings of extreme guilt when his friend Stu Sutcliffe died of a brain hemorrhage. Two weeks before he and Lennon had gotten into a fight and Lennon reportedly kicked him in the head with a steel-toed boot. (He always blamed himself for Sutcliffe's death at 23.) Lennon would also get into street fights. (Experts on the Beatles said that that was the big irony between the Stones and the Beatles. The public thinks of the Stones as "street-fighting men" when in reality Mick Jagger was a wimpy guy and a bookish business major, while Lennon was the actual roughneck who engaged in literal street fights.

But getting back to Lennon's abusiveness as it pertained to women . . .

The article overlooked an incident where Lennon slapped a lady journalist across the face in 1964. Reporter Larry Kane writes about it in his book. (He accompanied the Beatles on their first tour of America.) It required a lot of diplomacy and public relations skills from Brian Epstein to suppress the story.

(Even after the Beatles broke up, in the 1970s, Lennon struck another member of the paparazzi: a lady photographer named Mary Brenda Perkins. See here: The John Lennon we did not know)

So Lennon had a hair-trigger temper, and he'd unleash on men, women, dogs, inanimate objects: anyone who was around.

I'm a Beatles fan also, but we never hear about this side. It's like it gets swept under the rug, because it's the past. Same with this incident, if Dr. Dre has left that side of him behind, then it should be left in the past as well.

Not saying it's right, because it isn't.

Its always buster ass fukkbowys and bed wenches trying to get pats on the back from peckerwoods by throwing brothers under the bus when they seriously about make a land mark in their careers(Like with Mayweather) This was well known for almost 30 years, Why you outraged now all of a sudden? Be the same ones quiet about Sandra Bland and the Mckenny Police mistreating young Black women.

You telling me a guy who made songs about doing bad things to women actually did those things to women and I knew about it when I was 10/11 living on the other side of the country pre internet and now white knights and feminazis are trying to make me feel bad about it but I like in 92-93 don't give a fukk.

It's 2015 I got bigger shyt to give a fukk about and besides anyone capeing for Dee Barnes should've caped hard for her back then when any politician running against rap music would have known about it,yet did little to nothing. It was just hot air to get soundbites, get elected.

Straight Outta Excuses: It's Time We Confront Dr. Dre's History of Beating Up Women

Why is now "the time" when all this shyt happend in the 90's ? :camby:

I am one of the few Em fans on this board, but why is he absolved from all the overanalyzing and fake outrage of lyrics? on the dre album he has a line about " even the bytches I rape cum" but nobody says nothing... Why do they wait until the artist has a major project before lyrics are picked apart. Why are we acting like rappers have to be morally correct, they aren't politicians.. Why are there dumb ass's on my FB page talking about, " I never new this and I will not be supporting him" like this aint happen over 20 years ago, like when is someone gonna expose all of these fake outrage attention seeking idiots out here, where is the fake outrage about the fake outrage?

Yeah, this gives credence to black feminists who claim that black men only care about violence done to black men and not black women. Not a good look.

When Beats By Dre first came out wasn't the right time to bring it up:patrice:?Seems like even if you forgot about this shyt because it happened so long ago,the name of that brand would for sure make you be like

"Beats by Dre?! that reminds me of all those women Dre beat back in the 90's:ohhh:?"

That didn't jog your memory but Straight Outta Compton does:heh:?
