For me I think its, partly because I'm older and because the quality of games aren't what they use to be. Literally all the games that feel like that have a "soul" or TLC are pc games or games you can get on steam.

Last Gen there weren't many games the 1st year around but a year and half in you could see what they were trying to do and were dev's were trying to go. This gen there have pretty much been all games that are tech demo's are copy and paste safe formats. The few games that don't seem like to me are all xb1 games but that's a personal opinion. I feel like this year will shake things up a bit later on, but right now everything I've play sofar feels like I've played it before or something very similar.

Maybe you're older, breh. There weren't really that many hot titles at the beginning of last gen either. They'll start to trickle in. Devs were too focused on making cross gen crap to maximize sales. But now that they're finally focusing on current gen games for the most part with most devs, I think we'll see better quality shyt pretty soon. TW3 is about to kick this gen off the right way, I feel.

I'm actually in my early 20s. Maybe its still early in the gen. Hopefully things get good and they don't focus too much on DLC's and "remastered" games, because both are what is making this gen dislikable for me.

One thing I can agree on, this gen doesn't quite have THAT game yet. That one that sets the standard going forward.

Everything else is basically 7th gen games but prettier(in the case of remasters, it's literally that).

it doesn't seem like there's anything like when COD or Gears were at their peak. I guess there's BF4 and Ghosts, but no one seems too excited about those games. games that try 'new things' like Titanfall and Evolve also haven't been very successful

Bullshyt. Every other gen had generation defining games in the first 2 years at min. And most times within the first year. This idea that past gens took a while to get going is completely false. They didnt. Its only this gen.


This is by far the worst start to a gen. Its not even close.

I'd say this gen has had a better start depending on what kinda games you're into.
