I'm not really sure what people were expecting. They basically just slapped the Xbox branding on someone else's device and called it a day.
The outrage means NOTHING to them. Their share price grew in the last week. It costs them nothing to ignore everyone because we live in a post-consumer world now. There are businesses raking in billions without actually producing anything of value that people pay for.
If you want Microsoft to make a better product, you'll have to basically do what I call "wall street activism" and buy MS stock and connect with others who have it so that as shareholders you can contact the company and raise concerns about their strategic decisions. Money talks, bullshyt walks.
