:sadcam: 35 here. It happens to all of us at some point. @Microfracture Man I remember zip drives. I thought it was gonna be big but it never caught on due to cd-rw catching fire and getting more support.

The zip drive's reign was so short because it was basically a bigger floppy disk, and very few PCs had the drive built in. Add in the fact that CD-RWs were more portable, and USB was being improved every year....zip got the :mjlol: face and was viewed as holmesian after a while.....I mean just look at it:

True, I just think it had more to do with CD-RW being embraced more. They were trying to fill a niche of much larger capacity then a traditional floppy but faster (read/write) than a CD-RW and more durable media. CD-RW was still in its infancy when Zip came out but there was much more support for it. Once the prices of the drives and disks came down it was a no-brainer to go with CD-RW, Then you had flash drives come into play and that ended zip once and for all.

The day I told my son the SNES didn't have multiplayer capabilities
The day I told him we didn't have YouTube to cheat our way through a game.
The day I told him there use to be an arcade in every mall, street fighter/mortal kombat in 7 Elevens.

Damn I miss those days.

I remember playing oregon trail in computer class and being hype, I remember getting a calculator watch and feeling like a tech genius.

Watching Saturday morning cartoons use to be the best thing about the week, once the afternoon hit I use to try and get my mom to drop me off at the mall and spend all day going from store to store playing the demo systems like SNES and playstation after running out of money in the arcade.
