inherented the business or come from money and have a huge safety net to fall

See where that being your own boss stuff gets you. You can be your own boss but you got to sometimes work until your able to get to that position too. Dame didn't want to work and was creating all sorts of businesses like Dash Motor oil and all kinda stuff that was failing when if he took a job and thought out some of these ideas more then who knows what could have happened.

I respect because to have your own oil business is dope as hell but cmon man. He needed to execute better, I wish he would have succeeded more but I don't know man. It just didn't happen and part of it might be him not being humble and another part is him not wanting to work and then come up.

To me it sounds like he's into too many ventures at once. He needs to pick 1 or 2 things and focus only on that until it becomes a success.

Yup, I remember I have VHS tape back then when "Backstage: Hard Knock Life Tour" with DMX, Method Man & Redman, Roc-A-Fellas, etc. All you see Damon Dash was arguing with somebody from Def Jam staff. You don't see Jay-Z or Biggs yelling out or arguing or anything. It always Damon.
