I caught up to all the episodes last week. I’ll keep this in rotation.

CBS Cancels ‘Poppa's House'

The news comes as CBS ordered two new projects to series: "DMV," a single-camera comedy starring Harriett Dyer, Tim Meadows, Molly Kearney and Alex Tarrant; and "Einstein," a drama led by Matthew Gray Gubler and Rosa Salazar.

that Harriett Dyer Tim Meadow show might beast!

Harriet Dyer did two years on this show with her husband.

:francis: Family and I watched the season and got a few chuckles but that's just it...

  1. Damon's son is as funny as the antichrist's porn stash
  2. It was a glorified argument settlement between father and son, and not so much a TV show
  3. The episodes were inconsistent
  4. Bland and boring
When the wife goes "this is corny breh, put it on Taxi". That's a damn problem :why:

Damn canceled after one season. I gave it 3 episodes, but tbh the shyt wasn't funny to me at all. The premise was dumb af too.
i added more to that post.

it centered around the two Damons. it wasn't enough. the only eye candy on the show was the short chick, she wasn't enough. it seems over time they minimized Essence Atkins role., i guess CBS didn't like her. Wendy Robison wasn't on the show enough.

I love the Wayans family but objectively the show wasn’t good, and I really wanted to like it..i think we all did.
The only episode that had me dying was the one where Damon tried to get with this young ting and had on that silly ass toupee.

Beyond that, it was just...meh.

They even threw Marlon and Tommy Davidson on the jawn, and it just didn't work.

Like it blows my mind of how mid that show was. It's sad because we need more black content on television that's light hearted in this sad times.

Can’t say I’m surprised. Unfortunately, the show just wasn’t that good. I kept watching it, tryna relive what it was like watching My Wife & Kids in the early 2000s, but it just wasn’t hitting the same. Sad too. A show with a positive depiction of black fatherhood should have been right up my alley. Oh, well…
