His specific argument is dumb but I think it is kind of suspect for healthy players to be "resting" in a non contact sport.

since when was basketball not a contact sport

you've never played sports in your life obviously

chris weidman an mma fighter stated most of his injures came from playing basketball not fighting lmao

lebron has been playing basketball non stop since he was in high school lmao, the wear and tear on his body is evident

athletes really get no time off, because they have to work out in the off season

that's why nobody likes fans, dumb ass statements like this

Breh, no. You've been doing this shyt for years. Oh "so and so poster said something he didn't actually say, let me get all riled up and make pages of posts dedicated to tearing down a twisted, inaccurate version of whatever that poster said" . Nope, not playing that game. There is literally nowhere in this thread, the post you're referring to, or anywhere in my oral or written record of being a human being where I have said someone has "the right" to be tired. It is not on me to quote my own post that doesn't exist, if you think I said that shyt, you are welcome to find it
Doing what for years?

Folks from random walks of life have seen how stupid a post you made in this thread. It's quite visible.

It's dumb...point blank

Yeah, for me the argument is much less about his tiredness and much more about being fair to the fans. Imagine you're a mom or dad making ends meet and you had this one date circled on the calendar to take the kids to go see their favorite player LeBron and then game day comes, and you find out he ain't even playing. I just think it's a dikk move. Of course he's taken a beating but damn, there's gotta be some way to protect the fans in this instance. Like, it should not and would not be required, but I think the team could earn a lot of goodwill if they would announce some time ahead of time that LeBron will be taking rests on certain days or something. I dunno, shyt, something

Damn, first you think I said "LeBron has the right to be tired" which was never uttered, now you can't read the very next sentence in the post where I precisely describe exactly what you've been doing for years. Your reading is really slipping my dude.

That's your opinion. I also think it's dumb as fukk to COMPLETELY take the paying fans out of the discussion and focus only on LeBron's physical condition. But hey, that's the beauty of diversity of thought. We don't have to agree

Lebron has been playing for over a decade non stop

He's not a young man any more, if he was 22 years old doing this you would have a point

the team needs his legs to be fresh in order to win the playoffs

the season is too long as it is

Yeah I mean because of this, I can definitely revise my position from "it's a dikk move to take random rests" to "just have the team announce ahead of time when you will take random rests to be fair to fans". I mean it's always on the back end of a back to back on the road or whatever anyway. The circumstances are usually predictable when the schedule is released so just figure that shyt out and let people know so working families aren't setting themselves back to come see the LeBron-less Cavs

He won cavs the championship, you think the care

the only dikk move is anybody getting mad about this

working families don't have season tickets anyway

lebron doesn't owe anyone shyt above all else

also he's already paid his dues

he's put in years and played more minutes than anyone carrying most of the load

only outta shape bums who never did anything physical in their life

think lebron's machine who can't fatigue lmao

the man is closer to 40 than he is 25, he can't do what we he use to do without injurying his body

Hell yes. I'm sure the scenario I posted above is not uncommon, especially for these road games. Kids grow up worshiping LeBron, families want to buy tickets to the game because it might be one of the few, if ONLY, times LeBron is coming to their city that season. Game day rolls around and LeBron just takes a pass. Yes I definitely think they care

the only dikk move is anybody getting mad about this
I think "mad" is the wrong word, at least for me. I can't speak for the dude on twitter. I just enjoy the debate :yeshrug:

working families don't have season tickets anyway
Yeah season ticket holders are not who I'm concerned about here. They see their favorite players regularly, presumably.

lebron doesn't owe anyone shyt above all us
I think there's a difference between "owing" the fans something, and being considerate or respectful of their time and money. If everyone just walked around only doing what they "owed" for people, society would suck.

People are entitled as fukk :mjlol:

Imagine thinking that Lebron owes it to catering to the finances/time of individual fans when he feels like he needs to pace his insane workload :mjlol:
These folks are just dumb bro.

You don't think entitled is overboard? If you are a working family and you put down a few hundo to treat your kids to a game to see LeBron and he doesn't show up, you think it's being "entitled" to wish you would have known ahead of time? To have your time and money respected?

I'm sure you take your order back at the drive thru when it gets fukked up and it's not what you ordered. That's not being "entitled". This is no different, in fact, I'd care a lot more about a few hundred dollars I spent on tickets than I did about $6 I spent in the drive thru

Y'all also probably the same dudes who say stuff like "(insert athlete here) doesn't care about you! He's just about his money! Why are you defending him so hard?" Well ya know what, that's right, a lot of athletes don't really care. So, ya know what I care about? Whatever I'm putting down to take my family or my girl to go see LeBron play

This "bu...bu...but what about the fans" shyt kills me :mjlol:

1. For starters Indy is in the Eastern Conference. It's very likely he's going back there again this year and they have had plenty of opportunities over the last 14 years to see him.
2. If Bron is worn out or injured come playoff time, how many fans are gonna give him a pass because he played every game during the season?
3. This ain't new. We know that teams rest guys. We can't act like this is some shocking development. If you are going to a game for a specific player, meaning you don't really care about your team, it's on you to check the schedule.

That's life. If you're raising your kids to be fans of the team, then go watch the team. Yea it sucks that they don't get to see their favorite player, but thats how it goes sometimes.

But you didn't know ahead of time!! So the "had plenty of opportunities" part isn't really relevant, because THIS is the opportunity you chose. If you already put the money down and your kids were all excited, you don't think that's a let down? fukk them right? They can just eat that $300 or whatever, cuz fukk em?
