You know, I kind of understand this mindset. I have numerous lingering injuries because I wanted to play...and I wasn't even getting paid. It's just a mentality some people have.

And I recognize that it's stupid for me to play sports with a labrum torn so badly it sublexes from me raising my arm above my head. It's stupid playing on an ankle I couldn't walk on the day before. It's stupid playing after dislocating your finger and popping it back in yourself to continue without taking a play off. It's stupid playing on a leg with a stress fracture...and I did all this for fun. It's dumb. But if you have that mentality, it's just how you are. If you can go you can go, and when you're on the field, court, ice, etc. the pain goes away.

Breh, they suit up because they don't have guaranteed contracts and 90% of them can be replaced at the drop of a dime. This is a league where 60% of the players go broke just 5 years after retiring, having life long medical problems while you're broke is not worth it.

There are very few basketball players just playing through stupid injuries, because their union doesn't suck ass and can atleast get some measure of job security.
