There really is no use for QB discourse anymore.

There are only 2 ways out if you don’t win the chip

1- People will disingenuously bash the QB for losing, even when he’s not supposed to be there and had a overachieving great season (Baker, Love), or

2- Even if the QB didn’t play terrible and he just, idk, lost, people will hold a grudge bc another player got called out so now this player HAS to get called out.

It’s all trash. A pointless, endless cycle

It’s no one person’s fault, but let’s not let him escape culpability.

He got gifted multiple chances to win, including 2 bonehead fumbles (one by him, one by KC) that should’ve been touchdowns. Then we’re talking about a 41-24 blowout.

He averaged 5 yards a throw, threw a duck into the end zone while missing a wide open Diggs, and played scary football. There were drops, a missed FG and an injury ravaged defense, but let’s not act like Josh Allen balled out.

Agreed on your first part of the statement. And, I'm not a Josh Allen apologist, but I call it as I see it.

In regards to your second sentence, I agree to an extent. However, his WR's had multiple BIG drops, especially the one to Diggs. Those were game changing plays.

Even if the Bills made that FG at the end, they very well may have still lost as Allen and the offense left too much time on the clock. Allen is not without some blame, but I don't think some of the criticism makes sense, unless people are just strictly looking at the final score.

However, when you finally get a home playoff game against the Chiefs, you have to find a way to win.

Football discourse is starting to degrade…there’s no way you watched that entire game yesterday and put the entire loss on Allen

All fair points.

As for Baltimore... I think they are precisely built to defeat Kansas City on paper with that defense. But the games aren't played on paper so we will see.
The Chiefs gonna have to work for it for sure, this Ravens defense is the best defense The League has seen in years, probably since that '15 Broncos team. They led The League in points allowed, takeaways, and sacks, they are elite at every level...

I'm so looking forward to this game, because if anyone can test a great defense it's a bona-fide All-Timer at QB...

This shyt is reminding me of the Patriots/Hawks Super Bowl 9 years ago. LOB and Brady's offense trading blows...

I think Baltimore should win too, I think their offense is more of a threat to KC's d than Buffalo's. Baltimore has multiple credible reveiving options, multiple credible rushing options, and a baller at QB...

Like you said the game ain't played on paper, and I'd be unsurprised if KC wins, unless it's a rout. But I expect Baltimore to find a way to win this game...

Josh Allen did not lose that game yest

He didn't drop the bomb or shank the FG...and most importantly, he didn't turn the ball over

And like I keep telling anyone...when was the last time in NFL history that a road team had a 2 day rest advantage

His mistake was on that 2nd & 9 from the 26...he should've just took the easy completion to Diggs on the drag

In hindsight the check down was there but had he got a chance to plant and not get bumped, that was a dagger, still they had a chance to tie it, kicker missed that’s tough

Josh is a good dude(football wise) and sometimes it just ain’t enough, i speak all the time about chips are won with skill and luck and he’s had some unfortunate bounces

We do this thing where we give too much credit and blame to qbs, and we all know if Lamar lose how nikkas gon be at his hat, none of it makes sense

Man fukk all this soft pillow shyt :heh: Peyton Manning got 2 rings and is 3-2 against Brady in the playoffs and he is known as a playoff choker. He had nikkas miss kicks, drop the ball, not show up, defense fukk up, didnt get the ball in OT and what did we hear after each instance? Peyton didnt get it done. But for some reason with Allen we have suddenly discovered this is a team game? Lamar was just under the most pressure all last week. No discussion of all the stuff outside if him that has impacted his playoff performance. I am all for expanding the dialogue but not just to be tender to one nikka.

ITS SIMPLE...

IF LEBRON BALLS OUT
IN GAME 7 BUT MISSES THE GAME WINNING FREE THROWS HES GONNA GET FRIED.

JOSH ALLEN PLAYING HERO BALL
ON 2ND AND 3RD DOWN
WAS JUST LIKE MISSING THOSE FREE THROWS.

EVEN IF THEY MADE THE FG
ALLENS BAD DECISION MAKING LEFT
1:44 ON THE CLOCK AND 2 TIMEOUTS FOR KC.

Yup. You can tell who actually watches these shows and who only vote by Twitter comments or video snippets going by the comments in this thread.
I'm telling you this is mainly a Skip Bayless/Black people thing.

Peep this dumb ass tweet from Acho.

Just mind-numbing stupid ass discourse. I blame First Take culture, Social media and the death of sports journalism for this shyt.
