Dan Patrick is a better interviewer than just about anybody with a sports show (radio or otherwise) in 2016, and it isn't even close.
His show is fine, I really only check for it when I've heard he's talking about ESPN, or if he has a great guest. And if you ever get the chance to go see him on a panel, he kills it.
That being said, most sports talk is trash, and I thin DP is heads and shoulders above most of what's out there. Which I suppose, isn't saying much.
And the Dannettes shyt, people should realize, is actually a pretty cool thing. He left his ESPN show for a few reasons, but one of the main ones is they wanted to cut back on his producer's mic time, and wanted to fire a few of them. Dan wasn't having it. They tried to do the same thing to Kellerman and he walked too. Dan held those dudes down, got them full time gigs, then got the show simulcast on NBC, got them all raises, and lets them be on air because they're his friends, they're good producers, and he wants them to have a shot at getting their own shows, etc. He also lets guys fill in for him when he's gone, which a lot of "talent" would NEVER do.
I don't listen to his show often, or really any sportstalk often, but DP is a real one.
