Being a great athlete doesnt mean shyt fam. Skill> athletics 98% of the time. Floyd would have to modify his style, which would take him out of his element. Its a whole different game when you can be kicked and taken down.

Great athletes can adapt...Floyd couldnt learn wrestling and defense ? I think alot of fighters would have problems getting in close because he be jabbing them and theyd be concerned about getting in tight and missing cuz itd be game over...I see so many UFC guys with glass chins,i always think a heavy handed or quick puncher could dominate in an octagon...

Jon Jones only been fighting for a few years and he's cleaning house in the UFC. He's beating these guys that have trained all their lives. These dudes live MMA, went to ninja (no sex) school and they're still getting rocked.

Just like in real life. You can train forever, get in a street with a goon with no training outside of street fights and could slaughter you.

Lighter gloves first and foremost. Secondly...most of the champs have extensive wrestling backgrounds. Do you understand the time and effort it takes to be proficient in getting someone off their feet? Also, Floyd couldnt come in with his normal style, he'd be off his feet pronto

Reading this posts tells me you dont understand the art of taking someone down and avoiding being taken down. Its more than just "sidestepping"

The fukk is he gonna do when someone with a little bit of judo knowledge has him in the clinch? You aint sidestepping that. But i dont expect you to understand that. So just acknowledge its silly to argue this back and forth. Youre not gonna see nikkas out here saying "Matt Kemp would beast in cricket son..its easier to swing than a bat cuz its bigger! :gladbron:

Good luck clinching onto Floyd while receiving a 10 punch combination at 100 mph.

Any MMA fighter would be the slowest competitor that Floyd has ever faced.

And how would those UFC fighters do in a boxing ring with him? :stopitslime:

Exactly. I don't see what's the point of this sh!t. Boxing is more skill than UFC. Boxing training is harder than MMA training.

You have to be a boxer when you're a little kid. Anybody can become MMA/UFC fighter at any ages while Boxing don't......

I hate people have to compare UFC to Boxing....both are different styles.

Mayweather at this stage would need probably a good year or two to train and adapt for all the other aspects of mixed martial arts because you dont' get separated in UFC and you can get held onto and taken to the ground so it really would depend on how dedicated he would be for a run...he would not get mollywalloped with a year training in that style...he already would be a striking master since most people just use kicks as distractions and focus on low kicks to the shin

I personally think this may make Mayweather an even more dominant fighter since he can add to his arsenal and fantastic ability to dodge...he just would need a counter for when those fruitcakes go for the takedowns or clench him

If Brock Lesnar with no experience was able to come in and be champ with minimal training I would not short Maywweather's chances honestly

Its crazy how Brock with no training, no strength, no wrestling base just left his couch and became champ,
