I guess Im reading this differently than the rest of yall

Cause that sounds like Dana himself is not fully sure to cut him loose, talking about nerves and telling him to just chill.

Sounds less harsh than what he said immediatley after the fight. Im thinking he looked at them buys and was like:jbhmm:

sound like he's ready to give Punk another big UFC payday after the last PPV buy rates came in

This makes Dana look worse than Punk because he's the one who signed him knowing he had no prior combat experience. He wanted a name and that's why he did it, same reason he put Kimbo on TUF, same reason he put James Toney in against Couture.

This is the biggest problem with the UFC right now. Jose Aldo publicly asked for his release because they won't give him a rematch against Conor even though he's checked all of the boxes, but they're willing to string Punk along to sell more PPVs. At what point does the UFC stop being a sport and start becoming sports entertainment?
