nikka Gibbs sound horrible and rippin off dmx on here comes the boom.
By once again biting and just changing the word that rhyme.
like most of his records biting chicago Westside smoke and ride music.
Art Barr
I disagree but you can guess that from my avi already

instead of ripping off I would rather say he pays homage like directly. I can hardly imagine that he though people wouldn't know that line and just tried to steal it.
If we can go a little further off topic: What I like about Gibbs most is his versatility, that imo he sounds good on every kind of production.
Miseducation was mainly old school sounding, sometimes boom-bap like
Midwestboxframe was just a cold gangsta rap mixtape, wouldn't say it had one style out of being gritty.
Cold Day in Hell was similar with more trap flavour in it
His album with Statik was boom-bap like given that Statik was the producer...
BFK was what you talked about, the smoke and ride stuff
ESGN was cold trap almost all over except a few tracks
Pinata was left field Madlib stuff
SOAD was some atmospheric, dark shyt
So I wouldn't say that there's a lane he knocks off. Only one of his projects is really like what you said.
He has many styles
Maybe not a style originator but neither a biter. He easily stays inside the border of being influenced and biting.
He has his influences like 2Pac, Bone Thugs, or Z-Ro but he is far from biting them
If he's biting then idk who's not biting today? Everybody bites then I guess...

He should reinvent the whole genre to not get called a biter or what?

Also a matter of perspective. I don't call being influenced "biting". I call the shyt what Desiigner does "biting", there's a big difference imo.
