When people say "finishing at the rim" nobody is saying strictly in the painted area . Outside of the restricted area is considered close range, in between shots (floaters for guards).

For reference, NBA.com says Steph Curry shoots 48.8% in the paint.

"Finishing at the rim" is scoring in the restricted area, and Russell shoots 60.9%, which is fantastic.

He has a quick release, so he can always get his shot off, regardless of defender size and how often is he really gonna post up in this era? His vision isn't going to be affected by size either.

Edit: Russell has complained about playing the point. Why do you and so many people want to force him to play something he isn't comfortable with? He's been a shooting guard his entire life.

I'm happy to have him and just watching it play out. I'm open to him playing 2 but he's a better option for us at 1 then Clarkson.
